Loki vs Mr.Mxyzptlk

Biography-

While battling the Frost giants, Odin (ruler and protector of the Asgardian people) found a small Asgardian-sized child hidden within the primary stronghold of the Frost Giants. The child was Loki and Laufey had kept him hidden from his people due to his shame over his son’s small size. Odin took the boy, out of a combination of pity, to appease his father, and because he was the son of a worthy adversary slain in honorable combat. Odin raised him as his son alongside his biological son Thor. Throughout their childhood and into adolescence, Loki was resentful of the differences in which he and Thor were treated by the citizens of Asgard. The Asgardians valued great strength, tenacity, and bravery in battle above all things, and Loki was clearly inferior to his foster brother Thor in those areas. What he lacked in size and strength, however, he made up for in power and skill, particularly as a sorcerer. As Loki grew to adulthood, his natural talent for causing mischief would make itself manifest and earned him a nickname as the “God of Lies and Mischief”; his mischievousness eventually became malice as his hunger for power and revenge grew stronger. Several times he tried to use tricks to get rid of Thor, like telling him to guard a hole in the wall he had made. In time, his reputation grew from being a playful and mischievous trickster to the “God of Evil”.

Powers-

Loki has enhanced strength, stamina, speed and durability.

Loki can withstand high-caliber bullets and is immune to all known diseases and toxins.

Loki is resistant to magic and aging.

Loki possesses genius-level intelligence and has extensive training in magic.

Loki possesses the ability to manipulate magical forces for a variety of purposes: energy projection, creation of force fields, temporarily increasing his own physical strength, granting superhuman abilities to living beings or inanimate objects, flight, hypnosis, illusion casting and inter-dimensional teleportation.

Loki is an adept shapeshifter and can change into animals or impersonate other people.

Loki imbued himself with magical abilities that enable him to withstand injuries that would prove fatal to another Asgardian.

 Loki has been shown to be immune to the Controller’s control disk,the mental influence of the Voice, and the power-sapping abilities of Rogue.

Loki crafted a method of cheating death. He will be reincarnated upon any “death” of his body now that he has arranged with the incarnations of death that his name be erased from the books of Hel.

Loki is armed with a sword, a whip, a three-pronged spear and he uses magical items to enhance his powers.

Loki possesses extrasensory abilities and is capable of astral projection and casting his thoughts across great distances—even across dimensional barriers.

Biography-

Mister Mxyztplk is an imp from the “fifth dimension”. Not being bound by our physical laws, he can do things that seem to be magical. In his first appearance, Mxyztplk wreaks havoc across Metropolis by using his powers to pull pranks.Originally, Mxyztplk had decided to conquer the planet for himself, but he soon settles for tormenting Superman whenever he gets the opportunity. His only weaknesses is that he cannot stand being ridiculed and if he says or spells his name backwards, Klptzyxm, he is involuntarily sent back to his home dimension for a minimum of ninety days. Mxyztplk often looks for ways to counter the latter weakness, but he always proves gullible enough for Superman to trick him time and time again. Saying “Klptzyxm” will not only send Mxyztplk back to the fifth dimension but also anyone else who said it. To return to his/her home dimension, one has to say one’s own name backward. Though easily the most powerful of Superman’s recurring enemies, the scope of Mxyzptlk’s true potential is limited by his personality. His gullible nature makes it easy for Superman or other individuals to trick him into saying his name backwards, and he is overall a fun-loving prankster who prefers to use his power for childish mischief and light-hearted harassment rather than malicious destruction or torment, as he would get bored very quickly by doing so; thus he is more of an annoyance to the Man of Steel than a true threat.

Powers-

Mister Mxyzptlk possesses an unlimited ability to warp reality within the third dimension in any way he can imagine.

Mister Mxyzptlk’s powers have been described alternatively as the product of fifth-dimensional magic or advanced technology from the fifth dimension that appears to be magical to third-dimensional beings.

Mister Mxyzptlk himself is not limited by physical laws: he needs no sustenance such as air or water, can exist in any environment (whether the bottom of the sea or in outer space) and is not susceptible to any kind of real physical harm.

Mister Mxyzptlk’s reality warping powers exist in the fifth dimension,but he exerts less control compared to the third dimension, due to the presence of other imps with the same powers.

Mister Mxyzptlk has the ability to break the 4th wall along with retconning abilities.
