Doomsday Vs The Sentry

Biography- 

Doomsday was born in prehistoric times on Krypton, long before the humanoid Kryptonian race gained dominance over the planet about 250,000 years ago. It was a violent world where only the absolute strongest of creatures could survive. In a cruel experiment involving evolution, intended to create the perfect living being, the alien scientist Bertron released a humanoid infant (born in vitro in a lab) onto the surface of the planet, where he was promptly killed by the harsh environment. The baby’s remains were collected and used to clone a stronger version. This process was repeated over and over for decades as a form of accelerated natural evolution. The agony of these repeated deaths was recorded in his genes, driving the creature to hate all life. As it evolved, the child eventually became able to survive the high temperatures and searing atmosphere, only to be quickly slain by the vicious predators that inhabited the planet. Over time, and without the assistance of Bertron’s technology, he gained the ability to thrive on solar energy without the need for food or air and to return to life and adapt in order to overcome whatever had previously killed him. Doomsday then hunted and exterminated the dangerous predators of Krypton and killed Bertron himself, whom he had come to identify as an enemy. Doomsday then escaped Krypton via a ship that regularly arrived to deliver supplies to Bertron (who had wanted little contact with the planet’s natives) and went on a killing spree across several planets.

Powers-

Doomsday can become resistant and immune to whatever killed him before and he has the capability to regenerate and evolve without technology. The amount of damage dealt to Doomsday determines the length of time it takes for him to fully recover. For example, if he is deprived of solar energy which is necessary to nourish his Kryptonian anatomy, he can only revive slowly and naturally.

Doomsday has an accelerated healing factor that allows him to quickly regenerate from most damage.

Doomsday does not need to eat, drink, breathe, or sleep, and his body is almost solid mass with no internal organs.

Doomsday is able to develop/evolve resistance from ordinary injuries. For example, Superman once used a sound gun to greatly discomfort him, but Doomsday’s auditory canals closed up, making him impervious to Superman’s weapon. Doomsday is also able to develop weapons and abilities that counter the powers of his opponent.

Doomsday’s skeleton protrudes through his skin in razor-sharp spurs, which provid protection to his few vital organs (brain, eyes and nervous system), and acts as claw-like weapons on his hands, elbows, and knees. In addition, the tips of these protrusions are lethally poisonous.

Doomsday is immensely resistant to heat, cold, and conventional damage. This allows him to survive in the most inhospitable worlds, or in the vacuum of space.

 Doomsday has superhuman endurance and invulnerability. He is almost completely resistant to all forms of physical and mental attacks. For example, bullets bounce off of him, rockets, lasers and bombs will not leave a mark on him, and high-voltage energy emissions cannot penetrate through his tough hide. He has even been able to withstand Darkseid’s Omega Beams.

Doomsday possesses extreme superhuman strength that allows him to bend and break through reinforced steel, destroy impenetrable barriers, lift extremely heavy objects,  uproot trees and buildings/structures as well as decimate them with his might.

Doomsday possesses seemingly inexhaustible stamina. He travels by leaping miles at a time.

Doomsday possesses superhuman speed. In a matter of moments, Doomsday managed to render most of the Justice League incapable of fighting.

Biography-

In 1947, Canada’s Department K and remnants of the United State’s Operation: Rebirth pooled their resources to become Project: Sentry, an attempt to not only recreate the Super Soldier Serum but, in post-war hubris, magnify its effects a thousand times over. Over ten years later, Robert Reynolds, a meth addict, broke into the laboratory of Professor Cornelius. It was there that he discovered a glowing serum. Consuming the compound, Robert Reynolds gained the power of a million exploding suns. This act killed the lab’s guards. He then asked the Professor to make more for himself. The workers behind Project: Sentry were appalled at what their irresponsibility had wrought and they persuaded Reynolds to let them test his powers at their facility, but they could not contain him for long, nor curb his desire to use his powers for the greater good of all, and the Sentry debuted before a world that had almost forgotten superhuman Samaritans. After trouncing the school bully who had tormented him, Reynolds sewed together a costume and made his debut as the heroic Sentry. However, The Void comes into being every time Sentry uses his powers and is his eternal nemesis born in his own psych.The Void is the black and destructive counterforce and negative aspects of Sentry. It is more of a force than a person but can take any shape it chooses and it is capable of destroying Earth, if not the entire universe. Robert Reynolds fights a constant inner battle to keep the Void at bay.

Powers-

The Sentry is able to become partially out of sync with normal reality due to the experimental serum that creates a phase-shift in his molecules.The serum induces a photosynthetic reaction, resulting in a hyper-state of consciousness.

The Sentry has been said to have the power of a million exploding suns. He was stated to be an Omega-Level Threat by Mister Fantastic,and Nick Fury’s intel classified him as Power Level 10+.

The Sentry’s molecular manipulation ability gives him potential regenerative healing abilities as well as his extraordinary invulnerability and durability. He can also simulate almost any superpower with enough practice and control.

The Sentry has the ability to move objects with his mind. For example, when Thor’s Mjolnir was hurled at him,he stopped it while it was only inches away from his face.

The Sentry possesses vast superhuman strength, granting him the ability to lift in excess of 100 tons.He is one of the strongest beings in the Universe and has demonstrated several astonishing feats of strength during his career, including easily lifting tremendous weights, ripping Carnage in two, taking Terrax the Tamer’s cosmic axe and shattering it with his bare hands, and his unrestrained power overloaded the Absorbing Man. He can also absorb solar radiation for additional strength.

The Sentry possesses the ability to think, move, and react at superhuman speeds. He is able to catch bullets and fly at supersonic speeds. He can fly to the sun in a matter of moments and he has the ability to travel an indistinguishable amount of light years in a very short of time.

The Sentry’s enhanced musculature is far more efficient than that of a human. As a result his muscles produce no fatigue toxins.

The Sentry’s natural balance, agility, and body coordination are enhanced to levels that are far beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete.

The Sentry possesses vastly enhanced senses. He is able to hear almost any sound at any decibel, pitch, and frequency. He has shown enough control to block out ambient sounds to focus on a specific source/frequency.The range of his eyesight is also far greater than that of a human being. He is able to detect a single person from hundreds of miles in the air and above cloud level.

The Sentry is almost completely impervious to harm, He can survive extremely harsh atmospheric conditions, including the vacuum of space. Nick Fury has stated that so far S.H.I.E.L.D. has yet to find a way to kill him, and even Iron Man’s scanners found no physiological weaknesses in the Sentry’s body.

The Sentry has absolute control over the light he produces. He can control its direction, frequency (color), amplitude (intensity), and duration. The Sentry can produce numerous effects with the light he manipulates. He can simply cause a bright glow all about his body and he can also create a pulse of light on the order of several tens of thousands lumens of power per second, which temporarily blinds people with its brilliance. The Sentry can also turn invisible by deflecting light and radiant emissions.

The Sentry has the ability to phase through objects.

The Sentry can generate light, heat, kinetic force, and other forms of energy as powerful blasts and explosions of a yellow color. These blasts are generated from the hands and eyes. He also has the ability to emit omnidirectional blasts that were able to eliminate a large group of Attuma’s soldiers.

The Sentry possesses powerful psychic and mental powers which are mainly used for holding his physical form together. The Sentry was able to erase himself from the memories of every being on the planet, with the help of CLOC and Dr Strange.

The Sentry can bring the dead back to life under extreme emotional distress.

The Sentry has a fragile psyche and is readily susceptible to mental manipulation. Although,if he is relatively stable he can resist such manipulation.

The Sentry is at his weakest in the Negative Zone. His powers and health gradually deteriorate the longer he is inside the zone itself. However, The Void’s powers increase to maximum.

The Sentry is an average combatant. For example, he was able to dodge a point blank punch from Thor and then deliver a solid uppercut. This proves that he has a reasonable degree of skill.
